Girl Talk will headline the Downtown Las Vegas inaugural 7k GlowRun on Sunday, October 7, 2012. The International music sensation will hit the stage as the illuminated runners cross the finish line at the multi-block street party during and after the race at AfterGlow.
The growing number of bars and restaurants in the area will come together in this first of its kind event in one big party. Participants and spectators are expected to wear illuminated and brightly colored costumes in the event. The GlowRun’s proceeds will be donated to Aid for AIDS of Nevada.
The nighttime race is presented by WENDOH Media Companies and Insomiac providing the runners a blend of music, art and entertainment plus the energetic bar scene of Downtown Las Vegas. More than 10,000 runners and party-goers will enjoy the event as Girl Talk performs his artistic mash-up tracks. Girl Talk will reactivate the crowd, who will attend the run and after party, with his set of fresh cuts and mixes.
Girl Talk has been in the industry for 10-plus years and continuous to innovate remixes through his sample-obsessed production. Girl Talk recently finished his fifth album titled “All Day” continuing the saga of his past celebrated albums “Night Ripper” and “Feed the Animals.” His constant progress in the industry pushes him to rise as a top artist in the industry.
The AfterGlow block will showcase additional artists, to be announced, apart from the local artists that will perform in the event. Live music will fill the corridor in downtown’s lively after party and bar scene. Participants can choose from different cocktail, beverage and beer stops every block and a tasty post-race from the several food trucks.
